Indian Head Massage

What is Indian Head Massage?

A common factor that draws people to complementary therapies is stress and the negative effect it has both physically and mentally.  With the digital world in which we now live, we find ourselves hunched over our computers, iPhones, laptops, iPads, with constant alerts to the demands of emails, social media and the like and that could be before we’ve even had breakfast!

It is understandable that these demands and associated stress can present themselves physically with tightness in the muscles across our shoulders and neck and also with painful tension headaches and migraines.  Indian Head Massage uses various techniques to not only relax these muscles, but also help stimulate the blood and lymphatic system.  Scalp massage techniques focusing on acupressure points and small circular massage movements across the base of the skull aid with the easing of tension headaches, whilst also improving and stimulating hair growth and condition.

My personal experience of such a treatment is similar to being in a deep meditative state – my brain actually turns off, which doesn’t happen very often!
